In addition to attendance, the registration fee covers tea/coffee, lunch, VAT and all conference materials.

How to register

Delegates can register online for the Symposium using a secure credit/debit card payment site. Please click here to register on-line.

Alternatively a hard copy Registration Form can be downloaded by clicking here. All Registration Forms must be accompanied by the appropriate payment.

Please note that a supplement (detailed above) will be charged for on-site registrations (i.e. delegates who have not pre-paid).

Confirmations

Written confirmation and a receipt of payment will be sent. We strongly recommend you do not book travel until a place is confirmed in writing. Further Symposium information including maps will be available on the website two weeks prior to the Symposium.

Payment information

  • Payment must be made in British Pounds (GBP £)

  • Cheques should be made payable to ‘ESSSB12’

  • Payments can be made by credit card(Visa, MasterCard or American Express) or debit card (Maestro or Visa Delta)

  • We are unable to accept online payment using American Express

  • Credit/debit card payments are subject to an additional charge of 2.95%

  • For hard copy Registration Forms the charge does not apply if payment is made by debit card

  • Credit/debit card payments cannot be taken over the phone

Registration fee cancellations

The registration fee will be refunded with a £50.00 deduction, provided that written notice is received before 28th July 2008. No refunds will be made for cancellations after this date, although name substitutions will be accepted at any time. Refund payments will be made after the Symposium.

Bursaries

Applications for bursaries to facilitate attendance at the Symposium are invited from delegates who have an abstract accepted for presentation at the symposium. The bursary will cover the registration fee. Delegates wishing to apply for a bursary should contact the secretariat.

  All best endeavours will be made to present the programme as printed. However, the Symposium Secretariat and the Organising Committee reserve the right to alter or cancel, without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables or plans relating directly or indirectly to the symposium or exhibition, for any cause beyond their reasonable control. The Symposium Secretariat and the Organising Committee are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alterations. Participants are advised to take out their own travel insurance and to extend their personal policy to cover personal possessions: the symposium does not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings or theft of belongings.
In the event that the Symposium is cancelled by the organisers, or cannot take place for any reason outside the control of the organisers, the registration fee shall be refunded in full. The liability of the organisers shall be limited to that refund and the organisers shall not be liable for any other loss, cost or expense, howsoever caused, incurred or arising.
The Secretariat will hold and process your personal details on their database. This information is necessary for the legitimate management of this symposium. We may also use these details to provide you with information of other conferences or events. Your contact details may be made available to selected third parties that may be of interest to you, please indicate on the bottom of the registration form if you do not want your details passed on. Please advise us should any of your details change. You may of course remove your details from our database at the end of the meeting by advising us in writing, at any time.
